Don’t miss the opportunity to enhance your understanding of the crucial role soft skills play in the dynamic landscape of the IT industry.

In-Demand Soft Skills for IT Professionals

Bikendra insists on the importance of soft skills for the near future.  He backs up his opinion with some recent reports, such as this one from Deloitte, which states that by 2030, more than half of all jobs will be soft skill dominated. “Particularly when it comes to IT jobs, you need hard skills, but beyond that knowledge, you need soft skills to do the job effectively,” remarks Bikendra.

Employers increasingly recognize the significance of soft skills, which are crucial for an employee’s success within a team, a company, and the organization itself. Bikendra states that the key soft skill for the next five years is analytical thinking followed by creative thinking: “As jobs become more complicated, the ability to gather information, organize it, analyze it, and present results is very important, and this is analytical thinking.”

The field of IT serves as a perfect illustration of this necessity. Moreover, creative thinking holds significant value in the current era of intricate jobs, where a diverse workforce necessitates constant adaptation and resilience in this ever-changing environment. At Skedler we agree. We recently talked about the importance of soft skills in this article about the skills needed to be an Machine Learning Engineer. Check it out!
